Pikri Forbidden I.P.A Beer 5.7% 0.33L The Pikri I.P.A is a light-colored blonde, naturally hazy beer, with 5,7% alcohol degrees. It is unpasteurized, unfiltered, and re-fermented in the bottle. It belongs to the India Pale Ale (I.P.A) category, the fastest-growing craft beer category worldwide. The prevailing story about the birth of the category is that – chronologically – around the 18th century, beers had to travel from Europe to India (then a colony). The journey was long, the technical means were insufficient, the product was sensitive, and it did not survive, arriving spoiled. The solution was to increase the alcohol degrees as well as to add large amounts of hops. Hops, a key ingredient of every beer as we know it, act as a natural preservative, but they are also the main ingredient that gives the characteristic bitterness and aroma to the beer. Thus, I.P.A beers are products characterized by a more intense bitterness and rich aroma, as a result of using larger amounts of hops in their production process. For the Pikri I.P.A (IBU 60), two of the top hops in the world were used, giving a combination of fresh citrus and tropical fruit aromas and a particularly captivating bitter aftertaste with satisfying duration.
